Post-It Art

I went to bed early last night.  Then my mind started up and I did not go to sleep until about 12:30.  I woke up around 4:30 in the am because Petey was outside barking at a cat.  The cat was sitting at the end of the yard meowing its head off.  Petey could see the cat but could not get to it.  So he just barked and whimpered until I got up and told him to shut up.

Petey loves cats.  He is fascinated by them.  When he sees a cat he starts drooling.  So I keep him away from cats.

We created some art at work today.  There is this thing we do called Post-It art.  I take a Post-It Note and draw on it.  In this case I used markers to create my own version of Mondrion's famous painting.  I told Tommy it was modern art and he used it as part of a larger piece of art with repeating patterns.  It is pretty cool.  I save all of these doodles and call it my Post-It art collection.

I don't know why these stupid drawings are so fascinating to us all.  We look at them and talk about them like they are real art.  Kevin had made some very good drawings.  His are usually still life subjects.  Drawn on a Post-It Note.

Last night I went to the bookstore and looked around.  I didn't find anything I wanted.  I was hoping to find Keith Johnstone's book on improvising storytelling.  It has been recommended to me by several people.  I'll keep looking.
