The Guy I Work With

I have a feeling that one of the guys I work with has read my diary.  He has never made a comment about it or in any way led me to think that he has read it.  But I have had a feeling for a long time that he has found it and read it.

I hope if he is reading this right now he will agree that the best thing to do is just play dumb and never mention it to me.  I would prefer that.

The thing about this guy is he is very smart.  And I don't mean just intelligent, I mean he is a genius.  He also has a lot of resources at his command at the company where we work.  He could easily find out what web sites I visit on my work pc.  I am pretty sure he has checked up on all of us at one time or another.  And if he saw a web site called jimmyusual.diaryland.com or if he saw that I keep checking my guestbook at work he might put two and two together.

We were talking yesterday and he told me that he found a blog written by one of our former coworkers.  I just nodded.  And in the past he has mentioned that one of my former bosses is gay (though he is married with kids). When we asked him why he thinks so he gave a vague answer.  I figured it was because he had seen some web site he visited.  Just a hunch.

Anyway, I don't care if he is reading my diary.  I trust him to not discuss it with the people I work with.

But you know the real reason I suspect he is reading this?  It is because there have been times when I have repeated to the guys I work with some of the stories I have written here and he just looks like he has heard it before. He makes no facial expressions.  He makes no indication whatsoever.  It is just something I feel.  I don’t get that feeling from anyone else.

I once wrote that if I thought anyone I work with was reading this I would lock it down immediately.  But not in this case.

And I could be wrong.  I hope I never know for sure.
