Ben, one of the guys I work with, told me about a great web site.  It is a diary by a woman in Chicago who works at a video store.  This store sells and rents movies.  A large portion of their business is in pornographic movies.

Some of the things she writes are very funny.  Some of the things she writes are sad.  But she is a remarkable writer.  Her name is Ali and she writes about coming to grips with her ideals about how the first amendment should be respected and how a lot of porn is just creepy.  Especially the customers who appear to be addicted to it.

I have always loved "retail stories" and this diary is even more fascinating because it delves into such a specific demographic.  And, having rented pornographic movies myself, it reinforces my belief everyone is being judged, to a certain extent, but what are ya' gonna do?  You gotta have the porn.

So check it out if you think you may not be upset by stories about how to deal with dvds with spooge on them or how to keep customers from jacking off in your store.
