They Are Laughing At You Behind Your Back - 2004-11-13 |

Lies, Lies, All Lies
He was looking right at me when he said that. I had lunch with Kevin and he asked me if I was going to take him up on his offer. Noooooooooooooo! I am not. I had to keep reminding myself that the sales guy is a total liar and everything he tells us is a lie and he only lies I should not believe him. He is setting a trap for us. Early this morning, around 7 a.m. when I got into the office I had a talk with him. I told him I was tired of the 55 + hours workweek, we were all burned out and that productivity was going down. He quickly changed the subject as I expected. I gave him a chance to do the right thing and he did not take it. Too bad for him. So we talked about things he was comfortable talking about and I began fantasizing about sending out my resume to any and all companies that would accept them. Yikes. After two weeks of working so hard we were all zombies today. None of us were able to get much done. That is unfortunate. The sales guy gave us a pep talk about how he is right here with us working the same hours and then he packed up and left for the day around 3:30. Yeah. But he said we could leave at 5:30, which we did. Most of us anyway. This weekend the theater I like so much is having a 24 hour improv-a-thon as a fundraiser. They are going to stay up for 24 hours and have improv shows starting tonight and ending tomorrow night. I get a price break on the tickets because I'm a student. I think I'll try to see a few of them. This is a non-profit outfit and they need the money. I really want to see what it is like at the end when all the actors are punch drunk from lack of sleep. Just thinking about it has gotten me energized about the weekend. I was dragging when I got home. I have so much to do. Jimmy
