They Are Laughing At You Behind Your Back - 2004-11-13 |

Tired And Drifting
At the lake there were a lot of ducks, some geese and two beautiful swans. The swans were paddling around together. They mate for life. I stood on the shore looking at them. They all floated over to me. I guess they hoped I would feed them. Then a kid came riding by on his four wheeler. His black lab was running along beside him. The dog saw the swans and veered off toward the lake and jumped in and started for them. The kid called the dog, "Here, Sparky!" and the dog slogged out of the lake and joined him. I love walking. I wish I had time to do it every day. When I came back home my sister was up. She has not been feeling well this week and decided not to join me on my trip. It's funny, for her February is for her what August is for me. She always has low energy during this period. And for me it is August around the time of her birthday. Tomorrow I am going to work on my resume and email it to a contact I have made. Just to give you an idea how sick I can get in my mind, I was planning to go into work tomorrow to try to get ahead. But then I realized if I did I would not have time to work on finding another job. Once I realized that I decided I would rather fall further behind at work. Also, tomorrow I want to see one of the improv shows they do at that theater where I take my weekly class. I get free tickets to certain shows. Right now I am watching Beauty And The Beast. Blythe made me promise to watch it and even gave me the videotape to bring home. I told her that I had never seen the entire movie and did not really care about it too much. I am more of a fan of Aladdin. But it is her favorite movie and she loves the music. My favorite composers are Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (especially Little Shop of Horrors) but I never connected with Beauty and the Beast. I have another movie to watch this weekend. Kevin wants me to watch his copy of Requiem for a Dream. He is very leery of suggesting movies to me. He knows I am very hard to please, but he thinks I will like this one. Thanks to him I watched Vanilla Sky and, to my great surprise, I liked it. Ok. That's enough for tonight. I am still trying to recharge my metaphorical batteries. Seeing my mom helped. I stopped on the way home and browsed through a bookstore. That always helps, too. Now it is time to relax. Jimmy
