Green Lamp

I don't know why it makes me happy but it does.  In the corner of the room there is a lamp on the shelf.  Beautiful green light pours out of it, bathing the walls and ceiling with its verdant illumination.

I put a green light bulb in the lamp.  When I get home I can't wait to turn it on.  It is a pleasing color but it also reminds me of the film Excalibur.  The director used a lot of green light in that film.

I had a long day at work.  The new boss is taking us to lunch tomorrow.  I suggested Houston's, a fairly nice steak house, and he agreed to it.  I'm looking forward to it.  We hardly ever get to have lunch together.

The rest of the day I don't want to think about right now.  I just got home a little while ago.  Not it is time for bed.

But I have my green lamp.
